ИНДОЕВРОПЕЙСКИЕ ВАРВАРЫ: МИФЫ И ИСТОРИЯ.

Здравствуйте! Мое имя - Алексей Фанталов. Официальное занятие - преподавание живописи, рисунка, композиции и авторского курса "Мифология народов мира".

В своих статьях я анализирую соотношение персонажей языческих пантеонов северно- и восточноевропейских народов, рассматриваю проблемы отражения мифологического наследия в культуре Средних веков и Нового времени .В настоящее время моя книга - "Мифология народов Северной Европы" находится в печати.

Главная область творчества, как Вы могли видеть по предыдущим страницам сайта - живопись в технике масла и акварели. Основная тема моих картин – мифология. Мои работы экспонировались на выставках Петербургского отделения Союза художников, в Институте культуры Финляндии, в Государственном Музее истории религии (СПб, 1996). Сотрудничаю с обществом Рихарда Вагнера. В 1998г. получил Байройтский грант за серию картин маслом, посвященную оперной тетралогии "Кольцо Нибелунга".

С альбомом графических работ "Атлас мифов" можно ознакомиться в Российской национальной библиотеке, библиотеке Института живописи, скульптуры и архитектуры им. И.Е. Репина, библиотеке им. В.А. Маяковского (СПб). Он включает 30 рисунков тушью, представляющих авторские интерпретации месопотамской, китайской, центрально-американской, индийской, славянской, кельтской, скандинавской, средневековой артуровской мифологий.

Ближайшие личные проекты: создание анимационных и игровых фильмов с применением современных технологий. Их основой могут служить сюжеты "Эдды", "Саги о Вольсунгах", "Беовульфа", "Артурианы", "Похищения быка из Куальнге", "Калевалы", индийского и славянского эпосов. Буду рад сотрудничеству со всеми, кому интересна тема "Искусство и мифология".

My name is Alexey Fantalov. I teach painting, drawing, and composition and such subjects as :

“Principles of Art”, “Principles of aesthetic education”. I have created an unique course “The mythologies of the world” And now I lecture it (course is also awailable in English).

The main field of my interests is art and mythology .In my articles I analyze the heathenish pantheons of the northern and eastern European people .Also I study the problems of mythical heritage reflection in the Middle Ages and Modern Times cultures. Now my book “Mythology of the Northern European people” is at the printer’s .I am also a good artist .I paint in oils and draw in water-colors and in Indian -ink.. I am an author of the landscapes and the still lives .Bat the main theme of my pictures is Mythology.

I took part in the Exhibitions of the St. Petersburg Artist Union .Beside I had got his own personal exhibitions .For example

The State Religion History Museum, 1996. There were 12 pictures (oil on canvas). They showed the plots of the Celtic mythology (including the Grail legends, the King Arthur’s Death, the Irish myths about Cuchulainn and Tuatha De Danann ); and the plots of the Kalevala (as its heroes as Vainamoinen ,Ilmarinen, Lemminkainen ) .

In 1995 my graphic album “Atlas of myths” had been printed in the St. .Petersburg. There on 30 pictures in this album I wanted to show the most interesting characters and plots of the Mesopotamian mythology, Chinese mythology, Indian mythology, Middle American mythology, Celtic mythology, Scandinavian mythology and others.

I am sure the study and the teaching of the Northern mythology are very importance. Its characters rich and variety are not less than antique ones. The Celtic legends are distinguished their dreamy and poetic mentality; the Scandinavian myths have got an original fantasy and have been penetrated by an idea of fate; the Balt folklore is the most grace; in the Slav one there is a worship to a the nature powers; lastly Finno-Ugrian epos trends of paleo-Siberian cold. The knowledge of own tradition and the neighbors’ tradition allows for man to realize his role in exchanging world. The past must be to address to the future
